As a growing team of patrol volunteers, the Mountain Bike Unit (MBU) has the unique opportunity to assist the National Park Service, the California State Parks, and the Santa Monica Mountains Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority by providing public assistance and resource protection to the national and state parklands in Southern California.

With an interest in the Santa Monica Mountains and a desire to promote educational awareness and responsible trail use, our mission is to enhance your experience and safety during your visit.
