Keep your bicycle in good condition. Carry tools for minor repair.
Post your ride early to allow other members to join your patrol.
Describe the intended route, trails, and riding conditions you anticipate encountering.
On the day of the ride, show up early enough to be ready to ride at the posted patrol time.
Know local rules and park regulations. Be aware of the bicycle provisions of the California Vehicle Code. Set Follow all rules and set the example for park visitors to follow.
Ride with your partners - adjust your pace to keep the group together - within sight at all times.
Greet park visitors when possible, and take time to evaluate if they require assistance.
Expect to ride for the entire duration of the posted patrol - be prepared to extend your patrol if an emergency situation is encountered.
